English Learning Groups - West Neighbourhood House

English Learning Groups help newcomers to develop language skills and participate in civic engagement opportunities.

The groups are led by trained volunteers and provide support with settlement. The program offers English lessons, as well as trips and special guest speakers depending on the needs of the group.

Essential Information

Who is eligible:

Permanent Residents, Convention Refugees and Protected Persons are welcome to register for the English Learning Groups. Participants must be literate in their first language (reading and writing).

Where:

Support is available virtually and in person at our 248 Ossington Avenue location.

When:

We have several schedules that occur throughout the week, mostly during the late afternoon. Please book an appointment for an assessment and to register.
