Call for Nominations! The Sir James Woods Award for Community Development - West Neighbourhood House

Call for nominations! West Neighbourhood House is looking for nominations for the Sir James Woods Award for Community Development. The award is presented annually by the House to recognize extraordinary contributions to the community.

Nominations open on April 1st and close on May 31st at 5pm. The award recipient/s are announced at our Annual General Meeting, which takes place every year in June. The award comes with a $1000 prize to the recipient.

We are looking for community members who work to bring about meaningful change in their community. All residents of the city of Toronto, excluding West Neighbourhood House staff and their immediate family.

Community groups may also be nominated (excluding service providers). Nominees do not need to live in the West Neighbourhood House catchment area and individuals are permitted to nominate themselves. We prioritise nominees connected to our catchment area (from Bloor Street in the north, to Lake Ontario in the south, and between Bathurst Street in the east to Roncesvalles Avenue in the west).

If you would like to nominate someone for this award, please email Rui Martins, Community Relations Coordinator, at  ruima@westnh.org
