Without your donations, we would not be able to deliver programs to 17,000 individuals across our 6 locations in Toronto’s west end. Thank you!
With your support, we can continue working with groups and individuals in the community to create the greatest possible impact on individual lives as well as on social conditions such as affordable housing, income security, and the labour market.
Please consider contributing to our Annual Appeal campaign and give West NH the resources it needs to change lives. When we work together, our community is stronger.
• Click here to make a donation online and select “2016 Annual Appeal” from the drop-down menu
• Or you can mail a cheque to:
West Neighbourhood House

• Or you can call Nelson Lynch at 416-532-7586 ext.226 to donate by credit card over the phone.
Your consistent support can have a huge impact at the House! Click here and you will be re-directed to Canada Helps where you can choose to become a monthly donor. Even if it is just a few dollars a month, your monthly support will help to support less advantaged individuals in our community.
Thanks to your support, we have raised over $30,000 allowing West Neighbourhood House to sponsor a Syrian refugee family of 5 people.
Contributions to this fund are still encouraged! Additional funds will help us cover any unforeseen expenses related to our sponsorship of this family (including medical, transportation costs etc.). Any funds remaining once this sponsorship is complete will go towards sponsoring another refugee family in the future.
When giving to the House, there is more than one place to put your dollar. There is West Neighbourhood House, and the St. Christopher House Community Endowment.
When you give to West Neighbourhood House, you can give to our general operating fund or to a particular program.
The St. Christopher House Community Endowment was established as a public foundation to sustain funding for innovative programs of St. Christopher House not normally supported by government funding. Donations and gifts given to the Community Endowment are maintained as capital and the income from investment of this capital is used to support activities of West Neighbourhood House, formerly St. Christopher House, according to regulations set out for public foundations under the Income Tax Act as administered by the Charities Directorate of the Canada Revenue Agency. You may consider the St. Christopher House Community Endowment as a place to leave a bequest.
Additional Information about donations:
West Neighbourhood House adheres to federal income tax regulations as administered by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). We issue official tax receipts for donations that meet the regulations set out by the CRA.
Each charity is allowed the option to set a minimum amount below which it will not provide an official tax receipt. We have decided not to take that option and issue receipts for donations of any size, as long as they meet the eligibility criteria administered by the Charities Directorate of the Canada Revenue Agency.
