While all of our programs are open to newcomers, these programs work specifically with immigrants and refugees.
The Newcomer Settlement Program provides information and support to help newcomer individually and as community members, develop the skills and knowledge to help themselves participate in society. The program also provides ESL classes.
The Newcomer Settlement Outreach Program works with immigrants and refugees who are homeless, living in a shelter or are at risk of losing their housing. The program helps immigrants and refugees integrate into Canadian society including help with immigration issues, finding housing, and accessing healthcare services. On a monthly basis, we also offer a free legal clinic to assist with immigration related matters.
Community Parent Outreach Program (CPOP) provides outreach to newcomer or isolated families with at least one child the ages of 0-6 years living in the Parkdale and High Park communities and connect them to needed services.
