COVID-19 update: The Meeting Place is open to homeless members during the COVID-19 pandemic. Screening takes place at the Queen Street entrance.
The Meeting Place at Queen and Bathurst (588 Queen St. West) has the main goal of lowering social isolation. We work to increase social networks and access to income through advocacy, public education and skills development. Using a community development approach, the Meeting Place staff and members work together to remove problems that keep people from accessing housing, income and healthcare support. In addition, Meeting Place case management supports facilitate access to primary care, mental health and addiction supports and assistance with legal issues. Staff and members also work together to create a community space that offers safety, security and access to basic needs.
The Meeting Place appreciates in-kind donations of certain supplies.
