The Adult Literacy and Academic Upgrading Program provides one-to-one and small group learning for adults who want to improve their reading, writing and math skills. The program works with adults at all levels. We have a combination of full-time and part-time programming, including pre-GED/pre-ACE. We offer math at several levels.
The General Educational Development Program (GED Program) helps people prepare to write the GED exam and earn a High School Equivalency Certificate from the Government of Ontario.
Bang the Drum offers free tutoring in computers, tablets and smartphones, as well as drop-in internet access. It gives members of the community an opportunity to develop their skills with new communication technologies in a collaborative and supportive setting. The program provides free computer tutoring in a variety of topics including cell phones and tablets, as well as access to the internet.
English Conversation Groups are offered through our Immigrant and Refugee Services programs. These classes will help participants improve their English and learn more about community resources.
