Haily IMG_3091 (2)Name: Haily
Profession: Legal Assistant

“With a university degree and no funding … getting meaningful employment seemed impossible. The [WEST] program allowed me to excel. Staff worked with me to craft my resume, obtain key resources which enabled me to attend interviews and finally [find] my employment position with confidence. I honestly did not think I could be gainfully employed after [trying for] eight solid months, sending out more than 150 resumes. Now I am working full-time as a legal assistant in my field. Through the course I was able to take I have made valuable contacts, and now have a part-time job after work which is allowing me to further advance my career. For the first time, in a very long time, I am proud of myself, and none of this would have been possible if it weren’t for the [WEST] program, and the amazing workers at West Neighbourhood House.”
